This partnership has resulted in a unique line of rechargeable batteries that offer several advantages, including shortened cables to save valuable space and a G-Tech plug that is compatible with chargers equipped with a G-Tech socket. Once connected to the G-Tech socket, the charger will automatically recognize the battery within 5 seconds and select the optimal charging mode.

Lithium-ion-polymer (LiPo) packs are the successors to the well-known lithium-ion (LiIon) packs. The primary advantage of LiPo batteries is their exceptional capacity-to-size ratio. They are compact while maintaining a high current capacity, making it possible to select a suitable pack for virtually any AEG replica. LiPo batteries do not suffer from memory effect, allowing them to be charged frequently without needing to be fully discharged first. In fact, frequent charging is beneficial for this type of battery.

It is crucial to ensure that a LiPo pack is not discharged below 3V per cell and not overcharged above 4.2V per cell. Another benefit of LiPo packs is their low self-discharge rate. When not in use, the pack loses approximately 3-5% of its energy per month. It is important to monitor the pack, as prolonged storage can lead to discharge below the permissible minimum value (3V per cell), resulting in irreversible chemical reactions that may degrade the pack's properties or, in extreme cases, cause ignition. An unused LiPo pack should maintain an average charge of approximately 70%.

When used correctly, LiPo packs have an average lifespan of 500-700 cycles. A critical aspect is the temperature at which LiPo packs can operate. Unlike other batteries, LiPo cells perform well at low temperatures; however, they should be charged at room temperature. To maintain LiPo batteries in optimal condition, they should be balanced during charging using the service plug that most LiPo packs have (a quality LiPo charger includes a built-in balancer).
