The Soviet AK-74N Assault Rifle

The AK-74N is a modernised version of the AK-74, a Soviet assault rifle with 5.45X39 rounds introduced in 1974. It is called the 'N' because the word 'Novoie' means 'new' in Russian. The 'N' version introduced a slide for the infrared sight on the left side, as well as other improvements over the original version of the AK-74. It is used by the Russian army and other military forces around the world.
