LiPo batteries are an excellent choice for AEG replicas thanks to their high current efficiency and capacity-to-size ratio. This type of battery doesn't experience "memory effect" and can be charged frequently without discharging before re-charging. Self-discharge rate is approximately 3-5% each month.

LiPo packs should not be discharged below 3V/cell or overcharged above 4.2V/cell. Average lifespan is 500-700 charging cycles, with optimum performance achieved in room temperature. Maintaining the voltage at a 70% charge level when not in use is advised and a built-in balancer should be used for charging.
