It allows them to purchase an Airsoft Replica or Realistic Imitation Firearm (RIF) in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Violent Crimes Reduction Act (VCRA, 2006) in the UK. The VCRA aims to prevent the misuse of Replica Replicas and applies to England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
According to the VCRA, individuals must be over 18 years old and have a valid Reason/Defence to purchase a Replica Imitation Firearm, unless the Replica is predominantly colored in a non-military color such as Blue, Red, or Green (over 51% of the surface).
To qualify for purchasing an Airsoft Replica, you must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Over 18 years old
- Valid Defence (i.e. UKARA id) OR purchase the replica in Two-Tone Colours
If you purchase this service, your replica will be disassembled and part of the components will be coloured blue. Then the replica will be reassembled and tested before shipping. As an option we can put your name on the replica to make it unique.
